Welcome to Bridges Division

Bridges Division is one of the two divisions of Ministry of Communication. Bridges Division plays a significant role in the socio-economic development of Bangladesh. This division was created in March 2008 to deal all matters relating to planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of construction of bridges which are 1500m or over in length, toll road, flyover, expressway, causeway, link road etc. It also undertakes steps to secure required funds both from external and internal sources for implementation of such plan.
The Division has an approved manpower of 30 headed by a Secretary. The Secretary of Bridges Division is also the ex-officio Executive Director of Bangladesh Bridge Authority. Bangladesh Bridge Authority (BBA) is an autonomous organization under Bridges Division.
